Two Falls Trail Project

Description:
KEM lead the design team for the Two Falls Trail at Cascade Park Project located in Elyria, Ohio. KEM services included field survey, preliminary and final design, environmental coordination, bridge design, and engineering during construction for the $497,000 pedestrian trail project. The improvements  include walking trails and a bridge that spans 200 feet across the West Branch of the Black River providing a scenic view of the West Falls at Cascade Park. Elyria Mayor Bill Grace said the bridge-raising was an impressive site "It'll last all of our lifetimes." Don Mould the contractor for the project bragged about the bridge stating that "It fits like a glove." The project was financed utilizing both Ohio Department of Natural Resources and Federal Funds. The KEM team is proud of this community improvement and thankful to be part of its successful completion.
