Description:
KEM completed design services and right of way acquisition for this project under the ODOT traditional review process then provided construction management and inspection services under the LPA process for the 1.5 mile reconstruction of S.R. 611 in the City of Lorain.
This $4,000,000 project included the total reconstruction of Colorado Avenue by pavement replacement and widening to three lanes with 9 inch reinforced concrete pavement. The project also included improvements of the storm sewer system, new traffic signal installations and new sidewalks.
KEM provided daily construction inspection services to assure compliance with the plans and specifications. KEM inspectors have vast experience with ODOT specifications and contract requirements. Written logs of project activity, and verification of completed quantities were performed on a daily basis. Pay requests were reviewed and approved in the field prior to submittal for payment.
KEM also conducted monthly progress meetings, coordinated utility relocation activity, approved material submittals, and ensuring the project was completed on time and within the allocated budget. |
